Bob Mendelsohn - Bass

Bob has performed on stage as a duo with Barry Manilow, and with members of Black Sabbath and Miles Davis' band, but as a juggler and not a musician. His musical credits pale in comparison and have been skipped but they do include many shows in the bay area at dozens of venues. As a hardcore fan of funk Bob focuses his efforts on creating eclectic funky grooves and filling them with bunnies and wolverines.

Chris Reale - Lead guitar, vocals

At the tender age of 6, Chris began his life in music by studying classical guitar. Throughout his youth, his ability grew through early practice and performance in recitals and shows, continuing into high school. There he discovered a passion for other genres of music, including The Blues and The Grateful Dead, creating a love for strong leads, rhythms and riffs. Exposure to exceptional lead players ignited his desire to excel as a soloist. In college, Chris learned to work the stage in numerous bands at parties and local bars.

While spreading his wings with lead guitar, Chris began to develop as both a singer and sax player, earning his chops at the legendary Berkeley Café in Raleigh, North Carolina. In 1997, Chris moved to San Francisco and added keyboards to his arsenal, making him a major addition to many local bands including Passenger, Shiver and Small Change Romeos. Throughout his musical growth his style reflects the influence of musical greats such as B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Trey Anastasio, Jerry Garcia, Brent Mydland and Maceo Parker.

Burning up the stage with ripping guitar leads, Chris now comes into his own as the lead guitarist for Atomatronic.

John Brearton - Drums

It all began when 8 year old Johnny's favorite thing to do was to take his drum sticks, a little red wagon full of Tupperware, a record player and a 78rpm single of the Hawaii 5-0 theme song to his friend J.J.'s house where they would play along. After destroying the complete set of Tupperware, mom and dad decided it would be better to get the little angel a real drum set. Decades later, he is still playing, only now the wagon is made by Audi and the songs are played on an iPod. Most of the time, John plays with himself. When his did play in bands he was usually the drummer. John’s musical influences include David Hasselhoff, The Energizer Bunny and Alice Bowie.

John professional experience ranges from original recording and showcase projects to shameless dance bands. Projects included pop-funk-metal with Paradox, roots-rock in August Heat, groove-world-beat fun with Live Culture, dark alt-pop in The Believers and pop metal with Kronic. John also played with "Monterey's best cover band" The Cubes, featuring Tom Ayres now of Persephone's Bee's.

Noah Cook-Dubin - Vocals, rhythm guitar

Noah's musical career started at the tender age of 5, when he brought down the house at his first piano recital by standing on the bench so he could reach the keys, and performing a blistering rendition of Great Balls of Fire. Soon after, he wrote his first composition, and began branching out into other instruments. After short stints with violin and various percussion instruments, he eventually found his way to the guitar. Noah developed his guitar skills playing with anyone who would let him, nimbly moving from bluegrass, to rock, to blues, to reggae, and finally on to funk. During this same time, he continued his development as a singer, working in diverse styles like gospel, pop, blues, and even some musical theater. Finally, Noah discovered his love of rap, both written and freestyle, and began incorporating it into his performance and composition. Over the course of 5 years, he developed a unique style of rapping while playing the guitar, all the while honing his pure rhyming skills.

These days, Noah's focus is primarily vocal, though he also contributes his funky guitar tones to Atomatronic's unique sound. His intricately clever rhymes and delivery elevate rap to a new type of art, which dovetails easily with other musical traditions. With his unique vocal styles and funky rhythmic sensibilities, Noah helps Atomatronic cover a broad swath of musical ground, from Funk, to HipHop, Blues, and Rock.
